Cost Analysis of Using Cover Crops in Citrus Production

Florida has a long association with citrus ( Citrus sp.) production. However, the industry in been devastated by Huanglongbing (HLB) or greening disease Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus). HLB affects tree phloem and eventually causes death. Cover crops, noncash have traditionally used row crop production to improve soil organic matter, for nitrogen fixing, weed control. growers may benefit from adopting cover crops because healthier soils could yields fruit quality of trees. are uncertain about costs benefits associated investments. The objective our study was analyze whether represent an economically feasible option growers.
